Flying Passenger Cafe: Expensive food and drinks at all airports across the country have been a problem for air passengers for a long time. However, now there is good news for the passengers. In which Aam Aadmi Party’s Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha raised this issue and highlighted the issue of expensive food and drinks available at airports. Now the central government has decided to open cheap canteens at airports.

‘Udan Yatri Cafe’ will be opened

The Central Government has now planned to open ‘Udaan Yatri Cafe’. It will start from Kolkata Airport, where food and drinks will be available at cheap prices. The Union Civil Aviation Ministry has announced that ‘Udaan Yatri Café’ will be launched at Kolkata’s Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport. Such pilot project will also be implemented at other airports of Airports Authority of India (AAI). The café will provide bottled water, tea, coffee and snacks at reasonable prices, which will greatly benefit the passengers.

What did Raghav Chadha say?

MP Raghav Chadha expressed happiness over this and called this decision a positive step. He said, ‘Finally the government listened to the calls of the common people. Although it started with Kolkata Airport, I hope this scheme will be implemented at other airports in the country as well. After this, the citizens of our country traveling by air will not have to spend Rs 100-250 for water, tea and coffee at the airports. This is inconvenient for common passengers. The government should ensure that passengers get good facilities at optimum cost.

Raghav Chadha has raised a question in Parliament on the issue of expensive food and drinks at airports. He said, ‘The condition of our airports has become worse than that of bus stands. “Long queues, overcrowding and disorganized management frustrate passengers at the very beginning of their journey.” After Raghav Chadha raised this issue in Parliament, people on social media appreciated his initiative.
