Patna – Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will set out on his Pragati Yatra from today. This visit is being undertaken with the aim of inspecting the progress of government schemes and establishing dialogue with the general public. The yatra will start from Tharu Tola of Santpur Panchayat of Bagaha-2 block of West Champaran district.
Itinerary: where and when?
The Chief Minister will land at Kadamhiya helipad at around 11 am and from there will go to Tharu Tola Ghothwa via road. During the trip:
- Laying the foundation stone and inauguration of the schemes.
- Inspection of products manufactured by Tharu community.
- Communication with Jeevika Didis.
Who will participate in the journey?
In this yatra, key officials of nine departments will be involved in field visit and district level review meeting. Apart from these:
- Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, Secretaries, and concerned officers of other departments will join the meeting through video conferencing.
- Vice Chairman of the District Program Implementation Committee, District President, District Council, Mayor, and City Council President will also be present.
- Minister-in-charge, Home District Minister, MP, MLA, and Legislative Council members will also participate in the program in their respective districts.

The special thing about this visit of the Chief Minister is that:
- There will be no public meeting.
- He will directly go to the villages and see the progress of the government’s development schemes.
- Will communicate with common people and Jeevika Didis.
- Will return to Patna after the review meeting in the afternoon.
