Khanauri (Sangrur) – The fast unto death of farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal continued for the 27th day on Sunday. His condition continues to deteriorate, and doctors have expressed deep concern about his health. The team of doctors monitoring Dallewal’s health said that his hands and feet have started becoming cold and his blood pressure is falling rapidly.
Dallewal’s deteriorating health: serious danger
According to doctors:
- Liver is not functioning properly.
- There is constant pain in the body.
- The risk of silent heart attack has increased.
Dr. Gurpravesh Singh told that Dallewal’s kidney condition has also worsened. His creatinine level has reached 6.90 against the normal 2.0. Doctors say that Dallewal needs to be immediately admitted to the ICU, but he has refused to get treated.
Punjab government accused of misleading the Supreme Court
Farmer leader Abhimanyu Kohar has made serious allegations against the Punjab government. He said that the government misled the Supreme Court by saying that Dallewal’s health was fine.
Kohar said that Congress MP from Jalandhar and former Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi has presented a report before the Agriculture Standing Committee of the Parliament. The report states that a large portion of the budget allocated to the Agriculture Ministry is returned to the Finance Ministry. The report also recommends making MSP (Minimum Support Price) guarantee law.
Candle march and hunger strike in support of Dallewal
Farmer leader Amarjeet Singh Rana said that despite Dallewal’s condition being serious, the attitude of the central government is very stubborn. In his support, candle marches will be taken out on 24th December in colleges and universities of various states.

In other states except Punjab, there will be a hunger strike outside DC and SDM offices from 10 am to 4 pm.
Dallewal is on fast for 27 days
The condition of Dallewal, who has been fasting for 27 days in Khanauri, Sangrur, has become very critical. On Saturday, Dr Avtar Singh had said that Dallewal had become extremely weak physically. Farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher has also expressed serious concern about the condition of Dallewal.
