Best way to feed green vegetables: Make tasty creamy garlic fenugreek

Children often run away from the name of green vegetables, but with this healthy and tasty Creamy Garlic Fenugreek, you can change their choice. The special thing is that milk or cream is not used in this recipe, yet its taste is so amazing that children and adults will keep licking their fingers.

Ingredients for Creamy Garlic Methi

For main vegetable:

  • 250 grams fenugreek leaves (washed and chopped)
  • 8-10 garlic cloves (finely chopped)
  • 1 onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 tomatoes (crushed)
  • 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • salt as per taste
  • 2-3 spoons oil

For vegan cream:

  • 2 tsp dry roast peanuts
  • 2 teaspoons white sesame seeds
  • 2 spoons roasted gram
  • Water (to make paste)

How to make Creamy Garlic Fenugreek

1. Prepare Vegan Cream:

  • Add peanuts, white sesame seeds and roasted gram in a mixer.
  • Mix some water in it and make a fine and smooth paste.
  • Apart from being healthy, this cream will also bring creamy texture to the vegetable.

2. Prepare Fenugreek:

  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Add finely chopped garlic and fry until light golden.
  • Add chopped fenugreek leaves to it and add a little salt and mix.
  • Cover and cook on low flame until fenugreek becomes soft.

3. Prepare the masala:

  • Heat oil in another pan.
  • Add ginger-garlic paste to it and fry it lightly.
  • Then add finely chopped onion and fry until golden.
  • Now add tomato paste to it and cook until the masala starts releasing oil.
  • Add turmeric, red chili powder, coriander powder, and garam masala to the spices.

4. Mix Cream and Fenugreek:

  • Add vegan cream to the prepared masala and mix well.
  • Now add cooked fenugreek to it and mix everything well and cook for 2-3 minutes.

5. Garlic Tadka (optional):

  • Fry finely chopped garlic in mustard oil and pour it over the vegetables.
  • This will further enhance the taste of the vegetable.

How to serve?

Serve this creamy garlic fenugreek with hot paratha, roti or naan. Everyone will like its taste very much.
