AAP leaders termed the news of case against Arvind Kejriwal as fake, ED refused to give approval

Arvind Kejriwal And Sanjay Singh

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders on Saturday completely rejected reports of Arvind Kejriwal being prosecuted by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the excise policy case. AAP MP Sanjay Singh and Delhi Health Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj reacted openly on this matter. Both the leaders claimed that no sanction has been given for the case and these reports are completely baseless.

Sanjay Singh asked for proof from LG

AAP MP Sanjay Singh Terming these news as fake, Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor (LG) VK Saxena demanded to make public the letter related to the approval of the case. He said:

“If ED has been given sanction to prosecute Arvind Kejriwal, the LG should show proof of it. Such fake news is being spread since morning. If there is any such approval, where is its letter? It is completely wrong to run such news without evidence.”

Saurabh Bhardwaj gave legal information

Delhi Health Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj also expressed surprise at these news. He said:

“Prosecution sanction is required to prosecute the Chief Minister or a Minister. It is ridiculous to say that there is talk of prosecuting the case without sanction. If any such approval has been given, why is it not being made public?”

He also raised the question that if the trial was not allowed, then what were the ED and related agencies doing for the last two years. Bhardwaj clarified that he had no information that permission for the trial had been granted.

BJP’s claim and growing controversy

Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva claimed on Saturday that Arvind Kejriwal will soon be punished for his alleged involvement in the liquor scam case. After this statement, news started spreading that the LG of Delhi has given approval to ED to prosecute the case against Kejriwal.

AAP leaders called it political conspiracy Termed it and said that BJP is trying to tarnish Kejriwal’s image through such fake news.
