Bhopal: 55 kg gold worth Rs 40 crore was recovered from an unknown car in Mandori forest near Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh. They were surprised to see gold biscuits and Rs 15 crore cash.
It has been revealed that this car belongs to Chetan Gaur, partner of former Transport Department officer Saurabh Sharma. The IT department has already seized Rs 4 crore cash from Saurabh Sharma. At present the proceedings of the Income Tax Department are going on in the state. In this sequence, the Income Tax Department has raided many builder’s premises in Bhopal, Gwalior and Indore. Along with this, raids have also been conducted at the house of former Transport Department officer Saurabh Sharma.
Earlier on Thursday, two locations of former Transport Department officer Saurabh Sharma were raided. Four crore rupees in cash and diamonds worth five crores, gold and 60 kg silver were found in it. Apart from this, four SUVs, 22 property documents and seven note counting machines were found.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Priyanka Shukla said that an informer at Ratibad police station informed that Innova Crysta was lying abandoned on Kushalpura Road for a long time. There are seven to eight bags in it. After which our team reached there. After finding gold and cash in this bag, we felt that this car was left like this in connection with the ongoing proceedings of the Income Tax Department, so we informed them.
Income Tax officials along with the police team seized the vehicle from the forest. He has also got the cap of Transport Department Officer. According to officials, a Transport Department official was present there when the dock was released. Apart from this, a picture of her partner Chetan Gaur has surfaced in front of the same car, in which he is seen posing in front of the car. The car has Gwalior number, siren and police badge. This car is registered in the name of a woman. It is believed a woman was also seen in the car when she was released after inspecting make-up items. Apart from this, there are farmhouses of many senior officials in the area where the car was found.
At present, action is being taken by the central investigating agencies in different parts of Madhya Pradesh. ED raided the house of Congress leader Golu Agnihotri and action has also been taken at the premises of another executive Umesh Shahra.
