China is developing the world’s largest airport: Neighboring country China has made another innovation in the engineering and infrastructure sector. It has built a large artificial island in the sea to provide better transportation facilities to Dalian, a busy port city in Liaoning province on the northeastern coast.

China will achieve new achievements in the world

Work is underway on a plan to build an airport on this island. China will achieve a new achievement in the world by building the world’s largest airport on this artificial island. According to Chinese media reports, the Dalian Jinzhou International Airport under construction on the artificial island covers 20.9 square km (7.7 sq mi). It will have four runways and a 900,000-square-metre (969,000 sq ft) passenger terminal. Which will start by 2035.

5.40 lakh flights will be operated

5.40 lakh flights will be operated from this airport every year. About 8 crore passengers will be able to travel by air here. After being built on an artificial island, this airport will become the top airport in the world. Which will surpass Hong Kong’s international airport and Japan’s Kansai Airport located on the artificial island. Hong Kong International Airport is spread over 12.48 sq km and Kansai Airport is spread over 10.5 sq km.

These attractions at Dalian Port

Dalian Port is a major center of attraction for oil refinery, shipping and tourism. The new airport will be close to China’s neighboring countries Japan and South Korea. In such a situation, Japan’s concern has increased because China will dominate the air transport sector in the future. Moreover, China is adept at building its military and bases in disputed waters.
