New Delhi, 20 December (Hindustan Reporter). There are signs of weakness from the global market today. US markets closed with slight weakness during the last session. However, Dow Johns Futures seems to be trading with a big decline today. European markets also became victims of massive selling during the last session. Mixed trading is taking place in Asian markets today.
There was continuous pressure in the US market during the last session, due to which the Wall Street indices closed with a decline. The S&P 500 index closed at 5,867.08 points with a weakness of 0.09 percent. Similarly, Nasdaq slipped 0.12 percent and ended the last session’s trading at the level of 19,369.58 points. Today, Dow Johns Futures is seen trading at the level of 42,081.82 points, falling 260.42 points or 0.62 percent.
Like the American market, there was continuous selling pressure in the European market during the last session. The FTSE index closed at 8,105.32 points, down 1.16 percent. Similarly, CAC index ended the last session’s trading at the level of 7,294.37 points with a weakness of 1.24 percent. Apart from this, DAX index fell by 272.71 points or 1.37 percent and closed at the level of 19,969.86 points.
Mixed trading is seen in Asian markets today. Indices of 5 out of 9 markets in Asia are trading in the green mark with slight rise, while 4 indices remain in the red mark with a decline. The Straits Times Index is trading at the level of 3,730.24 points with a weakness of 0.87 percent. Similarly, Taiwan Weighted Index has fallen by 218.78 points or 0.95 percent and reached the level of 22,713.47 points. There has been a big fall in the Kospi index today. At present this index has fallen by 1.66 percent and has reached the level of 2,395.44 points. Apart from this, the SET Composite Index is seen falling by 0.76 percent and is trading at the level of 1,367.06 points.
On the other hand, GIFT Nifty is trading at the level of 24,035 points with a rise of 0.13 percent. Similarly, Hang Seng Index has reached the level of 19,787.90 points with a gain of 0.18 percent. Apart from this, Nikkei Index is trading with a slight rise of 0.04 percent at the level of 38,831 points, Jakarta Composite Index is trading with a gain of 0.04 percent at the level of 6,979.80 points and Shanghai Composite Index is trading with a rise of 0.54 percent at the level of 3,388.22 points.
