All political parties are trying their best to woo women voters in Delhi politics.
- Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has announced financial assistance to women under the Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana.
- At the same time, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is preparing to make an even bigger promise than this scheme.

AAP government has recently launched Mahila Samman Yojana.
- Benefits of the scheme:
- Eligible women above 18 years of age will get financial assistance of ₹1,000 every month.
- If the AAP government comes to power again, this amount will be increased to ₹2,100.
BJP’s preparation: possible announcement of women’s scheme
To counter AAP’s promises, BJP may announce a scheme of giving ₹2,500 per month to women in its manifesto.
- Additionally, the party is considering giving additional assistance of ₹1,000 to women during festivals like Chhath Puja and Karva Chauth.
- According to BJP officials,
“Our promise will be bigger and more profitable than your plan.”
Existing free plans will continue
The BJP has also indicated that it will continue the existing free electricity and water schemes in Delhi.
- Free Electricity:
- Full discount on consumption up to 200 units per month.
- 50% subsidy on consumption of 201 to 400 units.
- Free Water:
- Free water up to 20,000 liters every month.
BJP says that these facilities will continue and the public will continue to get their benefits.
