Way of living: Technology changed the way of living

While information technology has given us speed, it has also destroyed our natural qualities. Dependence on mobile phones has reduced our memory power. Nowadays, while going to new places or big cities, it seems that without Google Map we will get lost somewhere. We keep the phone under the pillow while sleeping and open the phone immediately after waking up so that no post is missed. Today's children do school homework through online tools instead of hard copies.

lots of technical equipment

There was a time when house prices were eagerly awaited in the morning newspapers. Newspapers used to be a part of lifestyle but today we are creating incomplete and wrong understanding about the issues by reading raw news through social media. It is common to use the phone while eating. Going to the market not only means buying goods, but also improving oneself by interacting with the surrounding environment, but nowadays even ordering groceries is done on WhatsApp. The attractive schemes of various shopping sites have badly trapped us. The worrying thing is that due to doing all the work from home, we are forgetting talking, walking and other social etiquettes.

Instead of checking the authenticity of any product through usage or one's experience, we read through the star ratings from Google. The special thing is that the bridge has been dug by asking from the mobile. Instead of books and magazines, homes are filled with phones, laptops, tablets, TVs and many other technological devices in abundance. We don't even remember the last time we used a pen or read a good book. Things have stopped expanding. Communication is done through Internet shortcuts. During holidays, priority is given to spending time at home rather than going out. Social relations and mutual family relationships are not only weakening but also ending. At night, children are busy playing online games in different rooms. The elderly are suffering the pain of loneliness in some corner of their hard-built house.

taught on mobile screen

Gone are the days of reading books, now everything is read on the mobile phone screen. The school education department will have to start campaigns like library langar to generate interest in reading among children. The virtual world has reduced the importance of children's loving relationships like grandparents. Instead of stories, children remain engrossed in cartoons, web series or online games, due to which physical development has stopped. We waste time watching short baseless and meaningless YouTube video clips about current political and social issues.

time limit should be set

The need of the hour is to set a proper time limit for mobile use for children who are growing from childhood to personality so that our future generations can have a balanced development. Even though online education has become an essential part of education due to the call of Corona, there is a great need for field activities outside the rooms for physical development. Parents and schools can have a positive influence on the new generation by setting examples in mobile phone use. This is a very serious issue and constant and effective coordination between parents and teachers and between schools and homes is very important to solve it.

Mobile alarm reminds you of important tasks

Mobile alarm reminds us of any important work. There are many apps available in place of copy pen for worship, exercise, cooking, household accounts etc. Mobile also tracks our illness or health. Even apps tell us how to eat, drink and get up. Mothers have run out of 'there was a king, there was a queen' stories, instead they hand over mobile phones to their children for them to enjoy.

I am unaware of the joys and sorrows of life

We become worried when our phone's battery drops below 10 percent. Every person is used to browsing more than three social media sites on an average. According to a survey, every second person spends 50 hours on the phone during a week. Facebook reminds friends on their birthday. Spending time in a place with no Wi-Fi and poor network becomes a nightmare. We are unaware of the people living on the streets who are the real sharers of happiness and sorrow in life.
