Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir): An encounter took place between security forces and terrorists in the Behibagh area of ​​Kulgam district in the early hours of Thursday, in which the army killed five terrorists. Military officials said that this action started on the basis of information about the presence of suspected terrorists. On Wednesday night, security forces cordoned off the area and started a search operation. Meanwhile, the terrorists started firing, after which the army retaliated.

Five terrorists killed

After the encounter, bodies of five terrorists were found in nearby gardens. During this period, two security forces personnel were also injured. Chinar Corps said in its official statement that based on intelligence, the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police conducted a joint operation. In this operation, the terrorists started firing indiscriminately, to which the army gave a befitting reply.
