Now we see in the news that there are frequent bomb threats on flights. Sometimes during the flight in progress and sometimes before the flight begins. Many such cases have come to light.. Now if fake calls are made to airlines or airports that they will be bombed, this is what happened to them. The Civil Aviation Ministry has now amended the provision of penalty for doing so.
So the fine could be this much
Importantly, miscreants making fake calls threatening to bomb airlines and airports will be put on the ‘no fly list’. Besides, a fine of up to Rs 1 lakh will also be imposed on them. If any organization is held responsible for giving fake threats, the fine can be up to Rs 1 crore. The Civil Aviation Ministry has amended the Aircraft (Security) Rules, 2023, to provide for penalties following a series of fake calls. The reason behind this change is the large number of threats sent this year. The spread of such rumors from time to time causes a lot of inconvenience to the people and also creates an atmosphere of panic among the people.
