Prithvi Shaw: Mumbai batsman Prithvi Shaw, who was once called the second Tendulkar, could not get a place in Mumbai’s Vijay Hazare ODI Trophy team. Angered by the Mumbai selectors’ decision, Prithvi Shaw shared his List-A (domestic ODI) record on social media and wrote, ‘Oh God tell me…how much more do I have to see?!’
Prithvi Shaw not included in Hazare Trophy team
The 25-year-old Shaw did not get a chance in the 17-man squad announced by the Mumbai Cricket Association for the Hazare Trophy. Posting on social media, he wrote, ‘Oh God, now tell me… how much do I want to see.’ Even though 3999 runs in 65 innings with an average of 55.7 and a strike rate of 126 is not enough (to get a place in the team)… but I will keep my faith in God and hope, people will still have faith in me… It is certain that I will be back…Om Sairam.
Due to Prithvi’s poor form, he remained unsold in IPL.
Prithvi Shaw has been a victim of poor form for some time and has been involved in controversies off the field as well. It remained unsold even in the mega auction of IPL. His base price was fixed at Rs 75 lakh, but not a single franchise showed interest in him.
