India has expressed objection to America's concern over the Citizenship Amendment Act. The Foreign Ministry said on Friday that this is India's internal matter and America's comments are unnecessary and unwanted. Moreover, they have wrong information about the Citizenship Amendment Act. External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that we strongly object to the US concerns over the notification of the Act. This is our internal matter and America should not comment on it. On the CAA issue, the US State Department commented that we are keeping an eye on the CAA. “We are closely monitoring how the Act is implemented,” said Matthew Miller, his Foreign Office spokesman. Now India said, we do not care about lectures from people who have limited knowledge about India's diverse culture. Jaiswal said that the Constitution of India gives freedom of religion to all sections.
The law will protect human rights
The Foreign Ministry, while replying to America in clear words, mentioned many facts. The ministry said the Act will provide refuge to Hindu, Sikh, Jain, Buddhist, Christian and Parsi minorities facing religious persecution in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Bangladesh. It will provide citizenship to people who came to India before December 20145. This law has come to give citizenship. This law gives citizenship of a country to people who do not currently belong to any country. This will protect their human rights and also increase their respect.
