The Indian Embassy in Georgia’s capital, Tbilisi, has expressed grief over learning of the unfortunate death of eleven Indian nationals in Gudauri.

According to local media reports in the former Soviet country, according to initial reports, 11 Indians may have died due to carbon monoxide gas.

The Indian Embassy said, “The Embassy is working with local authorities to ensure that the bodies are brought back as soon as possible. We are also in touch with the bereaved families. We are committed to providing all possible assistance.” Georgia said in a statement on December 16.
A total of 12 bodies were found in the hill resort of Gudauri, Georgia, of which 11 were Indians. According to the information, a statement was issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia that there were no signs of violence or physical injury on any of the victims. Forensic investigation has also been conducted to find out the exact cause of death.
