Mumbaikars enjoying their favorite cold weather: It’s cold in Maharashtra

Mumbai: Mumbaikars have been enjoying the rosy cold for the last two days. Today, on December 16, the minimum temperature in Mumbai (Santa Cruz) was also recorded at 14.0 degrees Celsius. Cold winds blow especially in the eastern and western parts in the morning.

The Meteorological Department has informed that during the last 48 hours the minimum temperature in Mumbai has fallen by 6.1 degrees. The minimum temperature on December 14 was 20.1 degrees Celsius. However, the maximum temperature recorded in Santa Cruz today was 34.8 degrees Celsius. In such a situation, there was a huge difference of 20.4 degrees Celsius between the maximum and minimum temperatures today.

Mumbai in Maharashtra remained the coldest today for the second consecutive day at 34.8 degrees Celsius. Whereas Jewar was the coldest place in the entire state with five (5.0) degrees Celsius.

Colaba recorded a maximum temperature of 34.0 degrees Celsius and minimum temperature of 19.8 degrees Celsius, while Santa Cruz recorded a maximum temperature of 34.8 degrees Celsius and minimum temperature of 14.0 degrees Celsius. Today, the humidity in Santa Cruz dropped to only 40 percent.

At the same time, today the cold temperature in 20 cities of Maharashtra is reported to be between five (5) degrees to nine (9) degrees Celsius.

The Meteorological Department has today issued a cold wave warning for the second consecutive day in Ahilyanagar, Pune, Jalna, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Beed, Gondia in the state.

Director of Meteorological Department (Mumbai Centre) Sushma Nair told Gujarat Samachar that the anti-cyclonic circulation which had a severe impact on Gujarat and Maharashtra yesterday has subsided slightly today. Therefore, there is a possibility that there will still be cold and pleasant weather in entire Maharashtra including Mumbai. At present, cold winds are blowing from east-northeast direction over Mumbai-Maharashtra. During the next four days (17 to 20 December), the weather will remain dry in entire Maharashtra including Mumbai.

However, after December 19, the minimum temperature in Mumbai is increasing due to natural factors.

In Ahmednagar, Maharashtra today the mercury was extremely cold at 5.5 degrees Mohol-6.0, Beed-7.5, Nanded-7.6, Udgir-7.7, Jalgaon-7.8, Tulga-8.3, Nashik-9.4, Osmanabad-9.4, Malegaon-9.6. , Nandurbar -9.9 degrees Celsius recorded. Gondia of Vidarbha is -7.4, Nagpur – 8.4, Gadchiroli – 9.0 degrees Celsius.
