Dhamtari, 16 December (HS). Under the banner of State Health Mitanin Sangh Raipur, all the Mitanins of the district have gone on indefinite strike from 16th December. Due to which health services at rural and ward level have been affected. Mitanins have three main demands. On Monday, all the Mitanins sat on strike at Gandhi Maidan.
1937 militants of the district are on an indefinite strike regarding their three-point demands. The strike started with work stoppage and pen strike from 13th December. Now she is on strike from 16th December. The militants sitting in protest on Monday raised slogans against the government. Dhamtari District President Kavita Dhruv and Secretary Sevika Patel said that they have three main demands. All Mitanins, Mitanin trainers, block coordinators, health panchayat coordinators, area coordinators and Mitanin help desk facilitators should be merged into NHM. Not all SHRCs will work with NGOs.
Others will not even work with an organization like SHSRC. He said that the strike will continue until the demands are not met. Due to this strike, all the national programs including leprosy, TB survey, institutional deliveries, vaccination and all health schemes have been affected. During the strike, hundreds of Mitanins including Treasurer Neeta Sahu, District Vice President Kalindri Sahu, Dhamtari President Sangeeta Sahu, Kurud Sushma Goswami, Nagari Hemlata Sahu and Magarlod Block President Sindhu Sahu sat in protest.
