Under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, the work of redevelopment of Hisar Station of North-Western Railway, Bikaner Division is going on at a fast pace and the work of the first phase has been completed. Separate parking facility for vehicles, improvement in booking office, retiring rooms etc., work of new toilet blocks is in the final stage and more than 94 percent work has been completed.
According to Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Bhupesh Yadav, in the redevelopment work to be done at a cost of about Rs 27.54 crore, apart from the above works, LED lighting and artwork on the walls will also be done for aesthetic enhancement. The main entrance of the station is very attractive and an attractive modern station building is under construction. Appropriate signage will also be installed to make all facilities accessible to persons with disabilities. A solar plant will also be installed for work related to improving the lighting system of the station and for producing green energy. Apart from this, coach guidance display boards, multiline display boards, single line display boards, public address system, large LED screens and GPS based digital clock will also be installed to improve the passenger information system. A 12 meter wide foot bridge will also be built at the station, the estimated cost of which is approximately Rs 12.98 crore. After the completion of the construction work of this station under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, passengers will get modern facilities and the business class will also benefit.
