Araria 16 December (Hindus). Certificates were distributed among 22 trained workers of the first batch under the Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana at the Women’s ITI located in Forbesganj. This program was organized in collaboration with the Labor Resources Department of the Government of India and the Government of Bihar.
Principal Rajeev Kumar told in the program that the objective of this scheme is to train traditional artisans and workers and certify them. It covers 18 types of traditional workers like basket making, masons, blacksmiths, garland makers, sculptors, carpenters etc.
During the training, workers are given 6 days training, daily wages, tool kit worth Rs 15,000 and low rate loan facility to start the business. In the first batch, 22 basket makers were trained by trainer Manoj Kumar. In the coming time, training programs for other artisans like carpenters, blacksmiths, blacksmiths and masons will also be started in other government ITIs of the district.
On this occasion, about 40 workers including District Coordinator Ranjan Mishra, Paras Kumar, Ramprasad Singh, Mintu, Kishore, Bipin, Abhinandan were present. At the end of the program certificates and booklets were distributed.
