Maharashtra Politics: Cabinet expansion has taken place in Maharashtra. The special thing is that many such names are also included among the ministers who are facing the central investigating agencies. However, no charge sheet has been filed against anyone. In the expansion held on Sunday, the largest party of Mahayuti, BJP got 19 seats, Shiv Sena got 11 seats and Nationalist Congress got 9 seats.
According to the report, the names of Pratap Sarnaik, Hasan Mushrif, Dhananjay Munde are among the leaders facing investigation. The closure report in the name of any leader has not reached the court, which shows that the investigation against them is ongoing. BJP’s Girish Mahajan has got approval from CBI i.e. Central Bureau of Investigation.
The special thing is that when Munde, Mushrif and Sarnaik were accused of money laundering by ED, they were in the opposition and later joined the government. According to the report, a case is going on against Mango and a charge sheet has been filed against the companies and some people allegedly associated with it. In the results declared in November, Mahayuti won 230 out of 288 seats in the state.
During the Mahavikas Aghadi government, Mahajan was accused of extortion and kidnapping. He was demanding a CBI inquiry and later the Shinde government handed over the case to CBI. Mahajan has already got clearance from CBI. CBI files charges against IPS officer Bhagyashree Navatke and others.
ED has already registered a raid against Mushrif on charges of money laundering. Munde is facing ED investigation regarding 17 acres of land in Pus village. This plot was earlier gifted to the priest of Belkhandi Math. In 2012, Munde acquired it from Pujari’s heirs. Two money laundering investigations are underway against Sarnaik.
