Congress leader Bajwa said that state Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann had promised the farmers that more than 750 farmers have been martyred during the farmers’ struggle and all the farmers who have been martyred on that front on the Delhi border. Five lakh rupees more government compensation will be given. The central government had said that those who are outside Punjab will be given compensation and jobs, but no one got the job. Targeting the Central Government and the Punjab Government, he said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann are only serving lies. He assured that Congress will support the farmers.
He appealed to the Congress workers to join hands with the farmers and contribute in every possible way to the ongoing movement, saying that together we will ensure that their voices are heard and their rights are protected.
