Mumbai: A terrible accident occurred due to the collision between a truck and ST bus in Jalna. Four people died in this accident. Due to which 24 passengers were injured.
The accident happened around 4 pm on Saturday evening in Nava Road area. At the time of the accident the ST bus was going from Malegaon to Mahurgarh. About 60 passengers were travelling.
Meanwhile, a truck coming from Purpat hit the ST bus hard. In which the passengers claimed that the truck driver was driving the truck carelessly. So this accident happened.
The collision was so severe that both the vehicles fell away from Kashnaghan. After the accident, local people reached the spot and started rescue work and pulled out the passengers trapped in the bus. In this incident, four died on the spot. While 24 other people were seriously injured. All these injured were immediately admitted to the government hospital. Doctors said that the condition of three of them is critical.
The police conducted Panchnama at the spot and sent the body to the hospital for post-mortem. Recording the statements of the passengers who survived the accident, the passengers further claimed that the truck driver was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.
After this the police arrested the driver and got him medically examined. The police registered a case against him under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and Motor Vehicles Act and investigated the matter further.
