Mumbai has won the title of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2024. In the final they defeated Madhya Pradesh by 5 wickets. Suryakumar Yadav, Ajinkya Rahane and Suryansh Shedge performed strongly for the Mumbai team captained by Shreyas Iyer. Suryansh played an explosive inning of 36 runs. Madhya Pradesh captain Rajat Patidar scored unbeaten 81 runs. However, his innings went in vain.
Madhya Pradesh set a target of 175 runs
Batting first, Madhya Pradesh gave Mumbai a target of 175 runs. In reply, Mumbai won the match in 17.5 overs. Suryansh performed brilliantly for the team. He scored 36 unbeaten runs in 15 balls. During this he hit 3 fours and 3 sixes. Atharva scored 16 runs in 6 balls. He hit 2 sixes. In this way the team won the title.
Rahane’s strong performance
Prithvi Shaw and Ajinkya Rahane came to open for the Mumbai team, which was chasing the target given by Madhya Pradesh. Prithvi could not do anything special. He was out after scoring 10 runs. Patidar played a stormy innings for Madhya Pradesh
