Former Speaker of Himachal Pradesh Assembly and BJP Kangra-Chamba in-charge Vipin Singh Parmar has welcomed the decision of the Central Government to reduce the prices of petrol and diesel. He said that the Modi government at the Center has provided great relief to the people across the country. At the same time, former Vice President Vipin Singh Parmar has also launched a scathing attack on the Himachal Pradesh Congress government.
He said that even before this, there was a big reduction in the prices of petrol by the Central Government, but the Congress government snatched away the benefits to the people of Himachal. To save the face of its false guarantees, the Himachal Congress government broke the backs of common Himachal people by imposing VAT of Rs 3 per litre. Due to which the state is continuously being hit by inflation, despite this the government is busy with both hands in wasteful expenditure as per its wish. Now, with its friends, an indiscriminate game of distribution of revenue is going on by adopting various tactics to save the government, in which the interests and development of Himachalis are being sacrificed.
He said that earlier, BJP's Jairam government had provided great relief to the people in Himachal Pradesh by reducing VAT, on which Congress started the game of plunder as soon as it came to power.
Former Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly Speaker Vipin Singh Parmar said that the Central Government had earlier reduced the prices of cylinders for the sisters of the Ujjwala family, but still the Congress did not reduce the VAT in the states ruled by it across the country including Himachal. Now the central government has decided to reduce the prices of petrol and diesel by two rupees per liter. The new rates have come into effect across the country from Friday.
