Lucknow, March 15 (HS). Communicable disease control campaign will be run in Uttar Pradesh from April 1 to April 30 this year. Besides, Dastak campaign will also be run between 10th April to 30th April. In this regard, an inter-departmental meeting was held on Friday in the auditorium of Annexe Building under the chairmanship of Principal Secretary Medical Health, Medical Education and Family Welfare Partha Sarathi Sen Sharma.
Principal Secretary Medical Health said that during the communicable disease control campaign, all the departments along with their work also ran campaigns for public awareness and also kept monitoring the works and receiving feedback from time to time.
Partha Sarathi Sen Sharma said that a date-wise detailed program has been issued for inter-departmental meetings from state level to block level and for training and sensitization of employees and officers of all ancillary departments.
The Principal Secretary directed that all departments should prepare a micro plan for the work to be done at their level and also issue necessary orders to ensure its compliance.
Shri Sharma said that this time the Dastak campaign will be run for one more week. During this program, along with knocking at every house, Asha and Anganwadi workers will also make Abha (Ayushman Bharat Health Account) cards of all the family members.
He said that the Basic Education, Secondary Education and Child Development Department should ensure that the children studying there wear such clothes which cover their body and provide maximum protection from mosquitoes. If any child has fever etc. problem in school, immediately inform the health team.
He said that the Urban Development Department, Rural Development Department and Panchayati Raj Department should get regular cleaning, anti-larva spraying and fogging done in the areas under their jurisdiction. Pay special attention to sensitive places.
The Principal Secretary said that through preventive and preventive measures, our efforts will be to ensure that there is no outbreak of any kind anywhere in the state, but if the disease is identified at any place, the health department should also be ready for prompt treatment.
Shri Sharma said that all hospitals/medical colleges should ensure adequate stock of all essential medicines and functioning of equipment related to the treatment of communicable diseases. He said that for success in our efforts, along with the work being done by all the departments, public cooperation is also necessary. For public cooperation, all the departments also compulsorily run public awareness programs at their level.
Secretary Medical and Health Ranjan Kumar, Director NHM Pinky Jowal, Director General Medical Health Brajesh Rathore along with nodal officers of all the allied departments were present in the meeting.
