Balrampur, 14 December (Hindus). Ramanujganj Police is running a campaign to curb suspicious activities in the border area of Ramanujganj of the district. Under this campaign, the police is taking action against those living in Ramanujganj area without any valid proof, in which 9 suspicious persons were identified and legal action was taken against them.
During investigation, no valid documents related to residence were found with these persons. The police took action against them under section 128 of BNS and presented them all before the magistrate.
Ramanujganj police station in-charge Ramakant Tiwari said that the main objective of the campaign is to identify outsiders and expel them from the area and curb illegal activities. Also, strict warning has been given to landlords, dhaba operators, hotels and dharamshala managers. They have been told that if any person is residing at their place then they should immediately give complete information about him to Ramanujganj police station. If they do not do so, strict legal action will be taken against them also.
Ramanujganj Police has appealed to the general public that if any suspicious person is living near you without permission or is involved in any kind of illegal activities, then immediately inform the police. The identity of the informers will be kept confidential.
