Axis Bank has increased the charges for its SMS service, under which Axis Bank will now charge 25 paise per SMS or a maximum of Rs 15 for quarterly SMS service.

Many account holders think that SMS received by bank customers on their mobiles are free, but this is not at all the case. Actually, information like check cleared, payment debit or payment credit comes through SMS on mobile. For this, banks charge per SMS or quarterly.

Recently, Axis Bank has revised the charges for its SMS service, under which Axis Bank will now charge 25 paise per SMS or a maximum of Rs 15 for quarterly SMS service. If you want to stop this service, we will inform you about it.

Earlier Rs 25 was charged for SMS.

Axis Bank had changed the SMS service rules three years ago in 2021 as per TRAI rules. After this change, Axis Bank used to charge 25 paise or a maximum of Rs 25 per quarter from the account holder. This rate was implemented from July 1, 2021, but once again Axis Bank has changed its charges and now from December 15, 2024, Axis Bank will charge the account holder 25 paise per SMS or a maximum of Rs 15 per quarter.

These bank customers will not have to pay this charge

SMS charges will not be applicable on Axis Bank premium account holders, bank staff, salary account holders, pension account holders, small and basic accounts. If you operate any of these accounts you don’t need to worry about SMS charges. No charge will be taken by the bank for any information or OTP message.
