Indian batsman Shubman Gill said that the Indian team will make a fresh start in Brisbane with the understanding that the Border Gavaskar Trophy is a three-match series from now on. The third Test will be played at Gabba in Brisbane from Saturday.
While admitting that the team was disappointed with the loss in Adelaide, Gill said that the team did not want to go into the series under pressure. The atmosphere in the dressing room is positive and the members also enjoyed the dinner meeting in Brisbane. Gill said that the atmosphere in the camp is very good and we had dinner together on Thursday. Meanwhile, the players also had a lot of fun with each other. Our performance in Adelaide was not as per expectations but now we will play with the understanding that it is a three-match series. If we are successful in winning the Brisbane Test, our case will be strengthened in Melbourne and Sydney. Saying that the entire team along with Rishabh Pant is happy to be back at the Gabba, Gill said that in 2021 we broke the Australian tradition of not losing on this ground by defeating the Australian team at the Gabba.
