The third Test of the Border-Gavaskar series between India and Australia is being played at Gabba, Brisbane. Indian batsman Virat Kohli has made a special record in his name as soon as he entered this match. This is Virat’s 100th match against Australia and he has become the second batsman in the world to play more than a hundred matches against Australia. In this way Virat has scored a special ‘century’ against the Kangaroos. The record of playing the most matches against the Kangaroo team is in the name of Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar, who has played 110 matches.

Before this match, Virat had played 99 matches against the Kangaroo team, in which he had scored 5,326 runs at an average of 50.24. Virat has so far played 28 Tests, 49 ODIs and 23 T20 International matches against Australia. Only Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar has played more matches against Australia than him. He played 110 matches in which he scored 6,707 runs at an average of 49.68. After Sachin and Virat, the players who have played the most number of matches against the Kangaroo team include West Indies’ Desmond Haynes (97 matches), Vivian Richards (88 matches) and India’s MS Dhoni (91 matches).
