Mock drill of voting at booths with lowest voting percentage

Palamu, March 15 (HS). Many activities are being conducted under SVEEP to ensure that more than 80 percent voting takes place in the Lok Sabha elections in the district. In this sequence, virtual voting was conducted at five booths of Lesliganj, Tarhasi and Panki under Panki assembly. Here the future voter was deployed as presiding officer at the booth. All of them matched the names of the local voters who came to vote at the booths with the voter list. After this, ink was applied on the finger of the concerned voter after which voting was conducted on the cutout of the EVM.

During this, everyone was appealed to vote necessarily on the actual voting day. All the people who came to vote encouraged others to vote as well. It is noteworthy that in the last Lok Sabha elections (2019), less than 50 percent voting took place at the above mentioned five booths. This mock poll was organized under the SVEEP program with the aim of increasing this percentage in this election.

This time vote with a resolution of more than 80%: Municipal Commissioner

On the occasion, Medininagar Municipal Commissioner cum Nodal Officer of Sweep Cell, Javed Hussain said that the only objective of this mock poll is to increase the voting percentage. Today everyone came and voted, similarly on the actual voting day also they have to cast their vote with full eagerness. He said that the government is formed only by your vote. It is with this pride that you all have to vote.

He said that the way the local BLO has motivated all the voters to vote in the mock drill today is praiseworthy. He asked all BLOs to contribute their 100 percent in making voters aware even on the day of voting.
