Bengaluru: A day before the announcement of Lok Sabha elections, a shocking news has come out from Karnataka. A minor girl has accused former Chief Minister of the state and veteran BJP leader BS Yediyurappa of sexual harassment. Police have registered an FIR against Yediyurappa under POCSO. The Congress government of Karnataka has decided to get the Yediyurappa case investigated by CID. On this entire incident, BJP Parliamentary Party Board member Yediyurappa denied the allegations and said that he will fight a legal battle in this matter.
Karnataka DGP Alok Mohan said on Friday that an order has been given to transfer the investigation of the case registered against BJP leader Yediyurappa under POCSO to CID. On February 2, a woman had accused 81-year-old Yediyurappa of sexually assaulting her 17-year-old daughter. According to Sadashivnagar Police, an FIR has been registered against the BJP leader under Section 8 of POCSO and Section 354 of IPC. Yediyurappa denied the allegations against him and said that he would fight a legal battle against it. He said that the mother and daughter said that they were in trouble, I called Police Commissioner Dayanand and asked both of them to go to him. Meanwhile she started speaking against me, I felt that her mental condition was not good, I did not talk much and asked her to go to the commissioner. Now it is being said that an FIR has been registered against me. I will deal with this as per law. I tried to help someone and this happened to me. He said that he is in trouble and I have also sent some money. Even after this the same thing has happened, let's see we will face it.
Two videos also surfaced
Two videos have also surfaced. One of these has been made by the girl herself in which she has gone to Yediyurappa's house with her mother. The girl's mother addressed Yediyurappa as Appa ji and told that she had come from his hometown Shimoga. The woman said that she has property worth several crores which is stuck in the lawsuit. She wants their help. In another video, the same woman sat next to Yediyurappa and held his hand as soon as he entered the house. In this video, Yediyurappa said that when the woman was crying after unsuccessful attempts to meet him, she was allowed inside the house. Yediyurappa said that the matter changed after meeting the Police Commissioner. An FIR has been registered against me.
