Washington: The US court has refused to accept former President Donald Trump's appeal to dismiss the criminal case against him for illegally keeping secret files. Trump is accused of taking important classified files home with him when he left the White House in 2021, which were later recovered from his home by federal agencies.
Before US District Judge Eileen Cannon in Florida, Trump's lawyers argued that the federal charges against the former president in the case are vague and vague. The judge said that this question needs serious consideration but a decision cannot be taken at this point. This is one of four criminal cases against Trump. Trump will present a Republican challenge to Democratic leader Joe Biden in the presidential election to be held in November.
On the other hand, New York prosecutors said on Thursday that they want to delay by a month the criminal trial against Trump in the case of hush money paid to a porn star in exchange for silence. Along with this, necessary documents will be collected. The Manhattan District Attorney's Office said it had no objection. Judge Juan Manuel has not yet issued an immediate order.
