Third suicide due to harassment by loan app agents in a week
According to reports, 25-year-old Narendra married Akhila on October 28. The couple lived in Visakhapatnam. Narendra was a fisherman, but due to bad weather for the last few days, he could not go fishing and was under stress due to financial constraints.
He took a loan of Rs 2000 from a loan app to support his family. After two-three weeks, the app agents started harassing him to repay the loan. Many derogatory messages were sent to him. The agents pasted a morphed photograph of Narendra’s wife and wrote the price on it. This photo was sent to all Narendra’s friends and family members. Who was in Narendra’s contact list. After his wife received this picture, he decided to repay the amount at any cost. But, the agents did not help and continued to harass him. While inquiring about the known photographs of Narendra, he committed suicide.
