Being a part of God, the form of the living being is also the same.

Goswami Tulsidas has written in Shri Ramcharitmanas, ‘Ishwar Ans Jeeva Abinasi.’ That is, the living being is a part of God and hence is indestructible. Being a part of God, the form of the living being is also the same. The being who is endowed with self-knowledge is called free. The soul and God are situated in one body as the doer and the controller.

Consider that the body is a tree. Two birds named Jeeva and Ishwar live by making a nest in it. They are both conscious and able to live together and never separate. The only reason for his residence is Leela. Being so equal, the living being enjoys the fruits of the tree in the form of body, pleasures and sorrows, but God remains indifferent to them and remains only a witness. Being a non-consumer, God, knowledge, respect, joy and ability etc. are greater than the consumer.

A patient and content man does not consider himself a doer and remains separate from all things and the results of his actions. Learned men remain free from attachment to nature in the same way as the sky is free from the sky, the sun is free from water and the air is free from smell. He is neither saddened nor pleased by people’s suffering or by worshiping his body. One who is learned but has no knowledge of God is a shepherd of milkless cows. Man should remove all the illusions related to the soul and concentrate on God.
