Vadodara, Vadodara Municipal Corporation has constructed the copper Dabhoi road without keeping in mind the level of the bridge slab near Pratapnagar in the eastern area of the city and the water is not flowing properly. Due to which the water remains filled with dirt and becomes infested by insects.
Vadodara city has three main storm water drainage basins. The largest river in its eastern region is Ruparel Kansa. Sewerage water keeps flowing in this Ruparel Kans for twelve months. There has been a demand to stop this also. Actually, this bronze is for rain water drainage.
Mun. Congo leader of opposition in the corporation, Bhathubhai, has given a written application to the commissioner saying that the slab of the bridge built on Dabhoi Road is filled up to two and a half to three feet below. Due to which water is not able to come out from the bamboo. The water is perennially filled with barrages of slabs. There were heavy monsoon rains and floods three times.
At that time people were worried due to water not being removed from this well quickly. Similarly, a small bridge has been built from Danteshwar to Tarsali on Dabhoi Road.
There is a similar situation there also. The water of both these bridges stops three feet below the slab. If the Corporation had not shown wisdom in constructing the slabs in this manner, people could have been saved from the perennial problem of water logging and the resulting mosquito infestation.
He alleged that corruption is being done by derailing the work in this way. Now the Planning Corporation will have to think about permanent water logging here.
