New Delhi: Amid the ongoing controversy over Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar, Adani and George Soros, opposition MPs met the ruling BJP MPs in the Parliament with the tricolor and rose flowers in their hands and requested to allow the proceedings of the Parliament. Leader of opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi also participated in this. Rahul gave the tricolor as a card to Defense Minister Rajnath Singh.
Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi, DMK, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, MPs from Left parties and other MPs also participated near the Makar Gate of Parliament. And welcomed the BJP MPs with tricolor and roses and requested to allow Parliament to function. Posters with slogans like ‘Don’t sell the country’ were also seen in the hands of some MPs. The opposition is raising the issue of Adani in Parliament.
On the other hand, BJP cornered Congress by raising the issue of American billionaire George Soros. BJP claimed that the Gandhi Nehru family has close relations with American billionaire George Soros. After earlier linking Sonia Gandhi’s relationship with George Soros, BJP has now claimed that Fori Nehru was earlier married to BK Nehru, a member of Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru’s family. When BK Nehru was India’s ambassador to America, George Soros used to meet Nehru regularly, while Sonia Gandhi’s organization got funds from George Soros. BJP made such a claim on Congress.
Meanwhile, the next day also there was a dispute in the Lok Sabha on the Soros issue. While the opposition raised the issue of Manipur violence, the ruling party raised the issue of Soros. Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi said that BJP is raising the issue of Soros to hide its failure to stop violence in Manipur. Union Minister Piyush Goyal said that the opposition along with Soros wants to create a chaotic situation in India. Meanwhile, senior lawyer Mahesh Jethmalani demanded that Sonia Gandhi should be prosecuted under UAPA and her links with Soros should be investigated.
