Veteran Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan has undergone angioplasty. 81-year-old Big B was admitted to Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai at 6 am on Friday.
Amitabh was injured on the sets of Thugs of Hindostan
He injured his shoulder while performing an action scene in the 2018 film Thugs of Hindostan. However, the injury was not serious. He was advised to use a body double but decided to perform the scene himself.
Vein of leg was cut during shooting of KBC 14
During the shooting of Kaun Banega Crorepati 14 in 2022, the vein in Amitabh Bachchan's leg was cut by a piece of metal. He was taken to hospital after suffering excessive muscle bleeding on the set.
The report came Covid positive twice
Amitabh had tweeted in 2020 that he was infected with Covid. His son Abhishek was also positive. Big B remained hospitalized for two months for treatment. After this, in 2022 also Amitabh got infected with Covid.

In 2000, Amitabh Bachchan came to know that he had Hepatitis B. Actually this disease was the result of negligence. When Big B needed blood after an accident on the sets of Coolie, there was a rush of blood donors. He was given 60 bottles of blood from 200 donors. In a hurry, Big B is given a blood transfusion of a person infected with Hepatitis B, due to which he also gets infected. Amitabh Bachchan himself had said this when the Union Health Ministry made him the brand ambassador of the Hepatitis B campaign.
75 percent liver has stopped working
In 2000, Amitabh Bachchan suffered severe stomach pain. When Big B reached the hospital for treatment, he came to know that he had a problem with his intestines, for which he underwent surgery for small intestine diverticulitis. It was during the treatment that Big B came to know that he had liver cirrhosis. It was caused by hepatitis B. In 2012, 75 percent of Amitabh Bachchan's infected liver was removed by surgery.
Big B was already suffering from asthma, liver problem and pneumonia
Even before the accident, Amitabh Bachchan had liver problems and was also suffering from asthma. The day after the operation he developed pneumonia which worsened his condition. After treatment in Bengaluru, he was brought to Mumbai by Airbus. He was taken to Breach Candy Hospital on a stretcher with the help of a crane.
He had surgery again on August 8. There is a crowd of his fans outside the hospital round the clock. At some places across the country, pujas and yagyas were being performed. Jaya Bachchan herself had gone to Siddhivinayak for the safety of Amitabh. But when he reached there he saw that many people were already there worshiping Big B. People's prayers were fulfilled.
Coolie was punched on the set, narrowly escaped injury
