Assad’s emergency meeting of the UN Security Council in Moscow

(3) Just 24 hours before this, rebels had captured Daraa, Quenitra, Suwayda and Homs.

(4) President Assad fled before rebels entered Damascus. At first it was not known where they had gone.

(5) When Assad was fleeing, there was an atmosphere of joy throughout Syria, including Damascus: Then in an address to the public he said: “Brothers, this is our historic victory. Syria is ours. Not belonging to a different family. “We have been waiting for this for a long time, now a new era has begun in Syria.”

(6) After the rebels captured Damascus, Prime Minister Mohammad-Ghazi-Jiwali promised them full cooperation.

(7) The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that 910 deaths have been officially recorded in Syria so far (since November 27). This includes 138 civilians, 380 Syrian soldiers and 392 rebels.

(8) Reactions are coming from all over the world. They are welcoming the change of power.

(9) Donald Trump has already said that “the war in Syria is an internal matter.” We have nothing to do with it.”
