Dhamtari, December 9 (HS). Youth Congress, under the leadership of Dhamtari Assembly President Hitesh Gangveer, surrounded the Dhamtari Tehsil office on December 9 with five-point demands and submitted a memorandum to Additional Tehsildar Akhilesh Jaiswal.

Congress District President Sharad Lohana, who came to submit the memorandum, said that at present paddy is being procured in the entire Chhattisgarh. The BJP is now breaking the promises against which it came to power. Irregularities have been found in many paddy procurement centres. There is no guarantee as to when the remaining Samman amount will reach the farmers.

BJP came to power by promising to purchase 21 quintals of paddy, but the entire paddy of the farmers is not being purchased.
