“If there is any strongest leader for India Alliance today, it is Mamata Banerjee,” he said. If all the parties of India Alliance allow Mamata Banerjee to come forward as their leader then India Alliance will definitely be successful. Best leaders for India Alliance are Mamata Banerjee and Uddhav Thackeray.
Pawar called Mamta a capable leader
Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar has supported West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s statement in which she said that she wants to lead the ‘Indian National Development Alliance’. Sharad Pawar told reporters in Kolhapur on Saturday that the Trinamool Congress chief is a capable leader and has the right to express his desire to lead the opposition alliance.
Earlier this week, Mamata had said that while playing the role of Chief Minister of West Bengal, she may also take the responsibility of running the opposition alliance. Mamata’s statement comes at a time when Congress’s defeat in the recent elections in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir and Maharashtra and discontent among various regional parties have created divisions within the opposition alliance ‘Bharat’.
The TMC chief has said that he can handle the dual responsibility of leading the opposition front while continuing in his role as the Chief Minister of West Bengal. All eyes are now on the Congress’s next move as the main opposition party is isolating itself in Parliament over several issues, including protests over Adani and farmers’ issues, while many of its allies remain away.
Let us tell you that India Alliance has been formed by the opposition parties, in which an attempt was made to unite various parties. The purpose of this alliance was to present a strong alternative to BJP in the 2024 general elections. Before the elections, Nitish Kumar separated from this alliance and joined the NDA alliance with BJP.
