Tata Motors will increase car prices by 3 percent from January

New Delhi, 09 December (Hindustan Reporter). Tata Motors, the country’s largest commercial vehicle manufacturing company, has also announced an increase in the prices of its passenger vehicles by up to 3 percent. The new rates will be applicable from January 2025.

The company said in a statement issued on Monday that it will increase the prices of its entire passenger vehicle portfolio, including electric vehicles, by up to 3 percent from January next year. “The price increase from January 2025 will vary depending on the model and variant,” the company said. Tata Motors said it is going to increase vehicle prices to partially offset the impact of rising raw material costs and inflation.

It is noteworthy that many car manufacturing companies including Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Mahindra and JSW MG Motor have announced increase in the prices of their vehicles from January 2025. At the same time, luxury vehicle manufacturers Mercedes-Benz India, Audi and BMW have also announced increase in the prices of their vehicles from January citing increase in input costs and operating expenses.
