ChampionsTrophy2025: The Champions Trophy to be held in Pakistan next year is still not clear. Following pressure from the ICC, the Pakistan Cricket Board has agreed to host the tournament in the hybrid model on the request of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). But the schedule of the tournament has not been announced yet.

However, neither the ICC nor the BCCI has issued any official statement regarding the timeline for announcing the schedule. Fans are also surprised as the schedule has not been revealed yet. Star Sports is the official broadcast partner of the tournament in India. Star Network has released an advertisement to launch the campaign for the upcoming tournament.

The advertisement features players from different countries along with Indian players Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, Rohit Sharma and others. Which confirms that the tournament is going to happen and the Indian cricket team will participate in it. The announcement also states that the tournament is going to start soon, which suggests that its schedule may be announced soon.

Eight teams are participating

Since 2009, eight teams have been participating in the ICC Champions Trophy, divided into two groups of four each. Each team plays one match against the other three teams in its group, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the semi-finals. Although the format for the 2025 edition is yet to be confirmed, the ICC is unlikely to make any changes.
