Noida International Airport: Monday will be a very special day for Gautam Buddha Nagar. A new history is going to be made on the soil of the district. For the first time, a commercial plane will land on the runway at the Noida International Airport being built in Jewar on Monday. Preparations for the trial have been completed. Along with allowing the aircraft to land, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation has also taken stock of other safety equipment on the runway. The runway was also saluted (water cannon) before the start of the trial run.

Commercial aircraft of Airport Authority of India (AAI) will reach Noida Airport from Delhi in 10 minutes. Here the plane will hover in the sky above the airport for about one and a half hours and will land on the runway only after checking all the safety equipment.

23 years old dream will be fulfilled as soon as the plane lands on the runway

Trial of planes will start at Jewar Airport from today. For the first time, an aircraft will land and take off here. With the landing of the plane at the airport, the dream seen 23 years ago will be fulfilled. With this, the record of building Asia’s largest airport will also be registered in the name of the district.

An official of Noida International Airport Limited (NAIL) said that the commercial aircraft of Airport Authority of India (AAI) will reach Noida Airport from Delhi in 10 minutes. Here the plane will roar in the sky above the airport for about one and a half hours and will land on the runway only after checking all the safety equipment. This is going to happen for the first time, when the plane will land on the runway. Whatever tests were conducted on the planes before this, they were not landed on the runway.

The first runway of 3900 meters long and 60 meters wide at the airport has been completely completed. Marking and lighting work on the runway has been completed. Apart from this, CAT-1 and CAT-3 instruments have been installed, which provide information about the altitude and visibility of the aircraft in fog. Instrument Landing System (ILS) has been installed at the airport, which has been tested from October 10 to 14. Now the trial will be conducted on Monday. The trial process is likely to continue for several days continuously or even on alternate days. Before the trial, the DGCA team has reached the airport and inspected.

salute given before trial

Water cannon salute is often given after the aircraft lands on the runway of any airport. This salute is given to welcome the aircraft. Such a video has also surfaced from the airport, in which water cannon is being used on the runway.

The dream of building an airport was seen in 2001

The dream of building an airport was first seen in the year 2001. After this, there came many such times when construction of the airport here seemed difficult. During the SP regime, it was shifted from Gautam Buddha Nagar to Agra. On 25 November 2021, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for its construction in Jewar. This is the most important among the major projects.

Flight possible till the end of April

It is proposed to operate flights at the airport till the end of April. It is being claimed that 30 flight services will be started from the airport from the first day. These include 25 domestic, three international and two cargo flights. International flights to Singapore, Dubai and Zurich can start.
