According to Navbharat Times, Mumbai-born Geeta’s marriage also took place in Mayanagari Mumbai. His father worked in BMC and his mother was a housewife. Geeta Patil got her inspiration for cooking from her mother Kamlabai. Initially they started by providing food boxes for 20 people. Geeta used to help her mother since childhood. This art he learned from his mother became the foundation of his future business.
When husband lost his job…
After her husband lost his job in 2016, Geeta started making and selling traditional Maharashtrian snacks and sweets at home. Modak, Puranpoli, Chakli, Pohe and Chivda were initially on their menu. A very small investment of only Rs 5,000 was made to start this business. Gradually the number of customers increased and so did the business. As of today, ‘Patil Kaki’ serves more than 3000 customers and the annual turnover of her company is more than Rs 3 crore.
Corona came and…
Everything started smoothly, but when Corona, lockdown started in 2020, everything stopped, only online business started in lockdown. At that time Geeta Patil thought of taking her business online. His 20 year old son created a website. Through this website, he started selling food and snacks under the name Patil Kaki. As their business grew, their profits also increased and many needy women also got jobs.

Patil Kaki currently employs more than 50 people. His son Vineet and his friend Darsheel manage the online platform. Patil Kaki’s startup has also received an investment of Rs 40 lakh from Shark Tank.
