Contribute to Bihar State Ex-Servicemen Benevolent Fund: Chief Minister

Patna, 07 December (HS). On the occasion of Armed Forces Flag Day, Director of Sainik Welfare Directorate Brigadier Mrigendra Kumar met Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and hoisted him the flag of Armed Forces Flag Day. On this occasion, the Chief Minister contributed to the Bihar State Ex-Servicemen Benevolent Fund and expressed respect and reverence for the brave soldiers of the country.

The Chief Minister said that the sacrifices of the soldiers are immortal. They bravely face the external and internal crises faced by the nation at the cost of their lives. He also appealed to the people of the state to contribute to the Bihar State Ex-Servicemen Benevolent Fund for the welfare and rehabilitation of these brave soldiers. He said that your contribution will be a gratitude to the brave soldiers.

Director of Sainik Welfare Directorate, Brigadier Mrigendra Kumar thanked the Chief Minister for the increase in the honorarium and ex-gratia grant amount given to soldiers and ex-servicemen resident of Bihar by the government.

Bihar Government has taken important steps for the welfare and rehabilitation of soldiers/ex-servicemen resident of Bihar. The amount of ex-gratia grant has been increased from Rs 11 lakh to Rs 21 lakh. The amount of ex-gratia grant for disabled soldiers released from military service of the Armed Forces has been increased from Rs 50 thousand to Rs 2 lakh. Besides, the amount of honor given to the bravery award winners resident of Bihar has also been increased.
