What is the matter?
In these fake calls, it is being claimed that people’s Aadhaar numbers have been used for obtaining SIM cards and for illegal activities. People are also being induced to make calls on video calling platforms like Skype by fraudsters to scare them. TRAI has clarified that any such activity is fraudulent and has nothing to do with the regulatory authority.
TRAI has informed the public that it does not undertake to disable or block the mobile number of any individual customer. Also, it neither sends any such message nor authorizes any third agency to contact the customers.
