MP Ramesh Awasthi met Civil Aviation Minister, discussed increasing flight operations in Kanpur

Kanpur, 06 December (HS). City MP Ramesh Awasthi met Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu in Delhi on Friday regarding the expansion of air services in the industrial city of Kanpur. The MP gave a letter demanding that air travel should be operated from Kanpur to various major cities of the country. This will provide many facilities to the people living in industrial cities.

Kanpur city MP Ramesh Awasthi met Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu and held important discussions regarding the expansion of air services in Kanpur city. The MP urged the Minister to change the timing of the Kanpur-Delhi flight, start another flight for Delhi-Kanpur and start air services from Kanpur to other major eight cities of the country. He said that Kanpur is a major industrial city of Uttar Pradesh. Air services should be operated from here to various cities, which will give impetus to trade and industry and encourage regional development.

The MP also stressed the need for expansion of Kanpur Airport and requested that an additional flight be started on the Delhi-Kanpur route, so that passengers can get better and easier air service. On this, the Civil Aviation Minister assured that he will discuss with the concerned officials and take immediate action on the issues raised by the MP. He said that we will make every possible effort for the development of an important city like Kanpur. The MP said that this meeting is a positive initiative towards providing better air services to the citizens of Kanpur.
