Mathura, 06 December (HS). In the pilgrimage city Vrindavan on Friday. The birth anniversary of Banke Bihari Maharaj was celebrated with great pomp. The consecration was done by Goswamis at the place of appearance, Nidhivan Raj Temple. A congratulatory procession was taken out from Nidhivan to Banke Bihari temple with musical instruments. A huge crowd of devotees continued to gather till late evening in the Banke Bihari temple to wish their idol on the 481st Prakatyotsav.
It was 5.30 am on Friday. In the presence of Bhikchand Goswami and Rohit Goswami, devotees performed Abhishekam with Panchamrit at Nidhivan, the place of appearance of Banke Bihari Lal. During this time the entire campus echoed with the cheers of Banke Bihari Lal. After this, a congratulatory procession was taken out from Nidhivan on the occasion of the appearance day of Banke Bihari Maharaj. Artists from Punjab were walking in front of the silver chariot making rangoli. In the procession, there was a tableau of Lord Ganesha, Radha Krishna and a picture of Swami Haridasji present to congratulate Thakur Banke Bihari Maharaj in a silver chariot accompanied by the romantic saints of the Haridasi sect. Devotees were walking ahead of the dole carrying greetings in the form of dry fruits, fruits and dishes. Women and girls from all over the country were dancing Dandiya and Bhava dance. Devotees were walking at the front of the procession doing Sohni Seva. When the procession reached Banke Bihari temple at around 1.30 pm, the procession was welcomed by the service people with aarti. After this, Rajbhog Aarti was performed by offering food to Banke Bihari Maharaj. Aaradhya was dressed in yellow and the temple was decorated with colorful balloons and flowers. Here the Goswami’s verses of Kelimal… Mai ri sajh jori pragat bhai, ju rang ki gaur syam ghan damini like. I used to be the first, now I am ahead, I am staying, neither will I remain like that.
