Botad News: Saras Melo-2024 has been organized at the Shri Kashtbhanjan Dev Temple complex located in Barwala under the National Rural Livelihood Mission on the joint initiative of the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India and the Department of Rural Development, Government of Gujarat. In Botad district. 51 stalls have been set up in this fair, sisters from different art forms from across the state have come to showcase their art in this fair. Describing her experience, Puriben said, ‘I am trying to spread the dying art of embroidery, weaving and making decorative sticks to the people through Saras Mela. I have got a very beautiful platform through this fair. Through a good fair we can further develop our art and our business. This kind of planning helps us a lot financially. At present about 10 sisters are working in our group, good fairs are being organized in different districts with the help of the government. In which the sisters of my group are enthusiastically joining and getting proper employment. Our business is doing very well through good fairs. We are very grateful to Sarkarshree for giving us the means to organize a good fair.
