Yamunanagar, 6 December (Hindustan Reporter). Gurunanak Khalsa College Yamunanagar men’s weightlifting team won the champion trophy in the Inter-University Weightlifting Championship.
Apart from the success of the men, the women’s weightlifting team of the college also performed excellently and secured second position in the Kurukshetra University Weightlifting Championship.
Giving this information on Friday, Acting Principal of the college, Dr. Pratima Sharma said that in the men’s category of Kurukshetra Weightlifting Championship, Prince, Swayam and Sumesh won the gold medal, Harshit and Siddhant won the silver medal and Piyush Gupta and Server won the bronze medal in the Inter University Men’s Championship. Won the weightlifting championship. Female athletes also made notable achievements. In which Muskaan, Diya, Rita, Tamanna and Muskaan Singh won gold medals.
Ujala, Manvi and Mansi won silver medals. Which further contributed to the overall success of the team.
